MOTOROLA
HOW TO INPUT A TUNE INTO YOUR MOTOROLA?

When inputting the ringtone codes onto your phone you will see a number, usually 4, before the notes. This number denotes the speed of the music, 1 being the slowest and 4 obviously the fastest.

To enable the phone to read the notes correctly a space must be left between each inputted note e.g. C2 D2 C+2.

Each music tone can have a maximum of 35 notes and therefore somewhat limiting the phone slightly.

To get around this and if the tones are sounding rather slow then try removing the R2 note as this is just a pause note for the music.

To enter notes, use the keypads, A-G, R=Rest, followed by a # if the note is a sharp.

Please note that any flat note e.g. B flat is actually inputted as an # i.e. A #.

To change the note to a higher octave input + and for a lower one use -.

Each note is approximately a quarter note which sounds for 1 beat. This can be changed by placing any number between 1-8 after the note to either increase or decrease the length the note sounds.

On some phones you may need to delete the ringtone note by note.

If you have to follow this procedure make sure that you leave the number 4 in otherwise you will have to start all over again.

Nokia Ringtone Composer Notes:

( ) = hold appropriate key until a dot appears in the note.

Commas are used to separate the notes and are not to be entered into your mobile phone.

Key pressing the ring tone too quickly may not enter the correct notes or miss out any digits. If a mistake is made the tune will not sound correct.

When in composer the following keys represent the following codes:

1 = C
2 = D
3 = E
4 = F
5 = G
6 = A
7 = B
8 = Shortens the note duration
9 = lengthens the duration
0 = insert a duration
* = sets the octave
# = denotes a sharp note
pressing and holding a note key shortens the duration by a half and is represented by a dot.

Once you have saved your tone you need to select it as the tone you would like to play on your phone.

To do this you need to:
1. go into Tones and push select
2. scroll to ringing tone and push select
3. scroll to the tone you would like to put into your phone (the one you have named and saved)
4. push select
